Ibrahim G. Dhalla, affectionately known as “Immy” to the countless individuals that call him friend, was born in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania. He moved to the USA with his mom, sister, and stepdad in 1981.
He has always had an affinity to help others. While in high school he started a wellness group that focused on maintaining a healthy diet. Continuing in that vein, he pursued a career in massage therapy, understanding he had a gift and could share his positive energy through touch.
Ibrahim quickly graduated from the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing, (I.P.S.B.), Culver City, CA and began working at Burke Williams day spa in 2004.
There he rapidly made a name for himself connecting with his clients and colleagues through his selfless exchange of positive energy through affirmative conversation and a healing touch.
Serving others at BW for over 17 years he wore many hats. He started at the front desk, just to get his foot in the door. He then became a therapist after a year as he learned the nuances of customer service and the ins and outs of the spa industry. Burke Williams saw his potential in customer service and noticed his ability to inspire others which let them to position him as a lead therapist. This led to many advances with the company. The positions include Manager On Duty, Massage Mentor, Assistant Facility Manager (Pasadena location), Senior Recruiter.
During his many positions at BW, he worked the Red Carpet at many prestigious events including the Golden Globes, Grammy’s and Academy Awards, and many other events.
In 2017, he was featured as one of The Top 5 Masseuses in Los Angeles, in Modern Luxury Magazine.
Taking nothing for granted Ibrahim travels around the world to improve his professional development and stay informed on the latest techniques and modalities.
While being devoted to his craft and being highly regarded as one of the best, if not the best in his field he is a hands-on father to his four children. Spending time with his family and gathering friends together to hike all over beautiful Southern California are his forms of self care.
